Iroko is a large hardwood tree that grows around the coast of West Africa. The trees have a long lifespan up to 500 years. The wood colour is initially yellow but darkens to a richer copper brown over time. It is a very durable wood; Iroko does not require regular treatment with oil or varnish when used outdoors. All of our timber comes from sustainable forests and is certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council. Please take a look at our Environmental Policy.
