DJ Newman accredited by CHAS –
DJ Newman Joinery has again been accredited by CHAS (The Contractors Health and Assessment Scheme)
What is CHAS?
The Contractors Health and Assessment Scheme was created in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. CHAS assessors scrutinise the safety policy and associated procedures, processes, arrangements and records of any applicant company to ensure that it meets the health and safety requirements of PAS 91. (PAS 91 is a standardised pre-qualification questionnaire which has been developed to reduce the need for suppliers to complete a variety of different pre-qualification questionnaires for different, and in some cases, the same clients.)
What does this mean for our customers?
For our corporate customers, knowing that DJ Newman is accredited by CHAS gives them the reassurance that our health and safety standards including our procedures for risk assessment and methodology meet the high standards required under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015). This relieves our customers from having to complete their own due diligence.
For our domestic customers our accreditation gives them the confidence that they are dealing with a company that not only prides itself on the quality of its work but strives to meet the highest standards regarding the health and safety of not only its staff but of other contractors and anybody who might be affected by our work.
And our thanks…
….goes to our hard-working, dedicated team that have cooperated in every way possible to ensure that the company maintains such a high standard of excellence. Well done, everyone!
